I've decided to start keeping a (mostly) photo blog to help myself organize the volumes of photos I seem to take on a weekly basis. Also, for those of you reading this, you can sort of keep up with what I'm doing since I am terrible at keeping in touch!
I will regress a little bit and go back to the biggest event of early October...my birthday!

Ryan, Danny, Graham, JMG and I started the night with a concert of two of my favorite bands: Architecture in Helsinki and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (both very cumbersome names). We were first in line, which meant front and center! The show was great, the crowd was good, and the music was a lot of fun. We hung around a bit after the show, and got a picture with Architecture in Helsinki

Coincidentally, the concert was the same weekend as the Denver Art Museum's 30+ hour grand opening of their newest building. Danny's friend in Denver scored us some tickets for 3am (they were the only ones available), and we headed there right after the concert ended.
The building was trippy...very few orthogonal walls and doorways. Since it was opening night, there was a DJ and very posh looking people mingling and discussing modern art. It was kind of weird, but a lot of fun. Around 5am, we started to get a wee bit delirious and spent our time playing with the toys around the museum. This included the built in ipods, build-your-own-sculpture, the western themed alcove, and many more...

This is a series of photos I would like to title, "Ryan Falling Asleep in Various Places of the Museum"...JMG makes two cameo appearances; I challenge you to find him (it's like Where's Waldo)!

At around 6, we hit up a 24 hr diner, which charges 38 cents for stupid questions. Although she was rude, the waitress was quite kind to us simply becuase she did not charge us for any of the dozen or so stupid questions we asked.

The morning ended with a vinyl LP convention in Denver. I found some albums for cheap, and then we all headed home for sleep. I would call it a very successful birthday!
