Skyline Images
Alex figured out where all of those famous Seattle-skyline + Mt. Rainier photos are taken, so he initiated a trip out there on this clear day. I decided to shoot photos in RAW for the first time since buying my DSLR, and with absolutely no regrets. It will take me a while to sift through the dozens of photos I took, but for now, here are some first attempts at digital post-processing.

First Weekend
We packed the first weekend here full of activities. Saturday was spent in downtown Seattle, where Travis joined us. We started at Pike's Place Market, traveling to the Sculpture Garden, and then finishing at the crazy Seattle Library. I was able to see Travis' apartment, too! The place was really nice, with a rooftop patio.
We had a fun picnic lunch, and I had a great cheese/tomato/basil sandwich from Beecher's Handmade Cheese. At some point, we ended up in a bizarre little music shop, guarded by a friendly black lab. The nice lady who owned the store gave me accordion lessons, which was a lot of fun!
I forgot my camera, but here are photos from Sunday! We wandered about 30 miles away from Kent to Tiger Mountain, and hiked ~6 miles round trip. The trail was steep, with a 2000 ft gain in 2.5 mi.

The Journey to Washington
...and so began my journey to Kent, WA for my internship at Blue Origin. My parents and I packed my car, and drove 19 hours to the western coast!
I spent most of the trip napping and listening to David Sedaris on audiobook. I finished his latest book, "When You Are Englulfed in Flames," which was hilarious!
Our first stop was in Canada: visiting my dad's sister and niece and their families. They took us out to sushi, which was delicious.
After Canada, we came back to Washington to see my cousins in Bellevue. It happened to be Jonathan's prom night, so he was all dressed up. Here I am with Jonathan, Julia, and their goofy brother, Ryan:
Our parents!
I finally had a chance to settle into my apartment in Kent. I went through with a furniture rental, so the place actually looks like a home for the next 10 weeks.
