We packed the first weekend here full of activities. Saturday was spent in downtown Seattle, where Travis joined us. We started at Pike's Place Market, traveling to the Sculpture Garden, and then finishing at the crazy Seattle Library. I was able to see Travis' apartment, too! The place was really nice, with a rooftop patio.
We had a fun picnic lunch, and I had a great cheese/tomato/basil sandwich from Beecher's Handmade Cheese. At some point, we ended up in a bizarre little music shop, guarded by a friendly black lab. The nice lady who owned the store gave me accordion lessons, which was a lot of fun!
I forgot my camera, but here are photos from Sunday! We wandered about 30 miles away from Kent to Tiger Mountain, and hiked ~6 miles round trip. The trail was steep, with a 2000 ft gain in 2.5 mi.
