Gliders!

My sugar gliders are here! For the past few months, I have been deciding whether or not I should get a pet, and after lots of research and contemplation, I decided on gliders. There are local breeders about 20 minutes away (I don't really trust pet stores with animals), and yes, they are legal! :) Here's the setup they live in:




I got a pair: a female and a neutered male.



This is Desmond...he is much more social and willing to explore. Here's a quick vid of him exploring the ceiling of his cage:



Molly is pretty shy compared to Desmond...it took her about an hour after Desmond to start exploring, and she headed straight for the food bowl:



They are pretty cuddly animals, and they eat fresh fruits and vegetables...pretty easy to take care of!

By the way...there is a theme behind "Desmond and Molly"...see if you can guess it, if I haven't talked to you earlier about it. ;)
